May Queen Contest

Enter in the May Queen Contest, and serve as our May Queen all year long. Hosted and facilitated by last year’s May Queen, Lily.  This year's May Queen competition TBA. Winner will have community responsibilities, which will be handed down to her from the previous May Queen at her coronation, and receives free admission to Georgia Pagan Gatherings for the 2008 season.

May King Tournament

Compete in a dagorhir “King of the Hill” Tournament, and win the favor of the May Queen. Serve at her side as May King, and lead our men as the embodiment of the Oak King for the 2007 gathering season. Winner received free admission to Georgia Pagan Gatherings for 2007. Hosted by last year’s “May King” – Dusty.

Women’s Ritual – “Preparing the Maiden”

Men’s Ritual – “In Pursuit of an Oak King”

Join with the Men and seek out the symbolic Oak King that will fertilize our Maiden in the Saturday evening Maypole Dance. Bring Ax’s and chain saws.

Drum Circle Ritual

Bring your dancing belt, drums, rattles, and fire spinning gear, and let's raise energy together.  If you'd like, please bring offerings to Chango, the patron deity of Drum Circles. You can find his altar in the Drum Circle. Bring him Rum, Cigars, tobacco, and coffee, to bless him with traditional offerings, and he will ensure good energy and good weather. He will also be happy with any bottled spirits, chocolates, fruit and just about any other gifts that can be shared with each other during the drum circle.

Henna/Body Art Party

If you were there last year, this is definitely an event worth repeating. Join us Friday evening after Drum Circle for a Henna/Body Art Party. It'll be dark so come as bare as you dare. Show off your tattoos, tell your sacred stories, look through the portfolios and even make an appointment to get some work done this weekend. Henna, woad and body paints will be available for you to play with.

Wolf Riders May Day Party

While you are at the Maypole, please send your children to Kellie's Kitchen for storytelling and other age appropriate activities.

Donations

We encourage you to consider that we each have a responsibility to contribute, so our wonderful community continues to grow, share and prosper. We are always happy to accept cash donations, rather than have you go shop. We are grateful when you share your surpluses, talents, and extras. It takes all of us working together to make common resources for our magical community. Bach Flower Essences, Herbs, Oils, and Incense's are appropriate for this time of year.

*Camping/Arrival Times

Folks may arrive on the grounds starting at 5 pm on Friday with permission from the event coordinator. Early arrivals tend to be people who enjoy being part of the pre-event process. Site maintenence, and set up primarily. If this is not your thing, we completely understand. We invite you to arrive at 5 pm on Saturday, so that we may have everything set up for you. Showers will not be available due to overstress on the plumbing system, toilets however are provided. Upon arrival, please check in with Dusty for designated camping spaces.

Parking

If overflow parking is necessary, please park in the back parking lot of the church next door. We have permission to park there. Please do not park on the gravel road next the Covenstead.

Noise

There is a noise ordinance for the county we are in. This will only be a factor after 11, and only a factor in so much as we will have to not blare our music. Party on Wayne.

Due to the economic crunch, and in an effort to encourage more local service, and less traveling, GPG, WSTS and WISE are hosting their events at the WISE Covenstead. It's just perfect for everything we want to do. May the Goddess bless your family with the resources to meet your needs during these challenging times.

It has been close to a decade that we have had the priviledge of serving the Goddess. May she continue to allow us to do Her work.

Our church was founded in 1999 by Rev. Belladonna Laveau, who had been called into service to teach and provide a public place for Wiccans to practice their faith. Offering her own family home, and it's 1 1/2 acres as a temple of worship.

Covenant of WISE is an affiliate of the Aquarian Tabernacle Church. Our Mother Church has been in existence for over 25 years, and sponsors many world-wide programs for Wiccans to enjoy.

Through many incarnations, we have grown both outwardly and introspectively. In additions to the public rituals, healings, counselings and services we have always offered, we now enjoy formal college accredited training opportunities from a host of qualified instructors for our clergy to be properly prepared for their ministry. Our children benefit from the highly successful SpiralScouts program. And we now have a public store front from which Bella can meet with and serve the community.

We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
